About

Who we are

All Kinds of Friends is more than a collection of books; it’s a community built on the belief that every child deserves to be seen, understood, and included.

It was created from a deep knowing that differences matter. They deserve to be talked about with care, understood with curiosity, and held with dignity. When differences are ignored or pushed aside, children can feel isolated. But when they are gently explained and openly embraced, something powerful begins to grow: connection, empathy, and true friendship.

At the heart of All Kinds of Friends is a collective of families, educators, and children, real voices, real experiences, all coming together with a shared hope for something better. This work is shaped by those who are living it, learning it, and choosing kindness in everyday moments.

Through storybooks, workbooks, and shared experiences, children are given the tools to understand one another more deeply and to welcome others just as they are.

At its core, All Kinds of Friends exists to help children see that differences are not something to overlook; they are something to understand, respect, and embrace. Because when we do, every child has the chance to feel a true sense of belonging.
